To get here, your best bet would be to fly into Aguadilla or San Juan and rent a car at the airport. You’ll definitely want to be mobile to experience everything this island paradise has to offer. Getting from the airport to the Fish Eye Property are fairly straightforward, and you can find detailed directions on the Fish Eye View website. Once you arrive, don’t be intimidated by the seemingly vertical driveway shooting straight up a cliff. Just gun your engine and head on up to your private island paradise villa.
The Fish Eye View property is a large compound, complete with a pair of infinity pools, a main house with wrap around balcony and three smaller apartment units. Each of their accommodations offer sweeping ocean views, private balconies and luxury amenities. The main house comfortably sleeps up to 8 people with 4 bedrooms, 3 ½ bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, living room, tv room and outside eating area. The balcony, where you will enjoy amazing sunsets and a panoramic view, is where you will most likely spend all your time.
Construction on this epic property began over 25 years ago when Craig and Michele Prothers first came to Puerto Rico in the 80’s. A true island love story, Craig and Michele met by chance after they had both been working for the same legendary surfer in Florida, unbeknownst to each other. Craig had moved into a treehouse in Rincon when Michele decided to drop everything in Florida and come build a life with him in Puerto Rico.
After having worked on a variety fishing boats, Craig was able to secure land from a local farmer that would be the the future home of Fish Eye View. He started by building a path in the woods from where they were currently staying near Puntas bakery to the future site of his luxurious villa. He then began the construction process with a plateauing machine that initially carved the main area where the house sits today. After a few years, he had a couple of small apartments built and ultimately began the construction on the main house which hosted the Conscious Connection team.
Since that time, Fish Eye View has expanded into a full-service luxury vacation property complete with an infinity pool bar and easy access to everything Rincon has to offer. In addition to amazing beaches, Fish Eye View also has convenient access to all the best restaurants and nightlife in town. Our favorite was La Cambija where you can experience the freshest fish tacos and watermelon mojitos on the island.
Up next are the local hotspots such as Club Tamboo and Case Verde. We were lucky enough to be in town for the Corona Pro-Surf Tournament so we got to experience a fiesta in the streets where the whole town celebrates with great food, drinks and awesome reggae music. We even got to see our favorite Jersey Shore reggae band Predator Dub Assassins playing at the Calypso beach bar. The entire town came together in a celebration of surf, sun and great island vibes!
